Reaching Hvar from Brela?

Hello! I was thinking of having holiday in Croatia this September. I prefer September because there are no crowds on the beaches and I feel more relaxed that way. I plan visiting and staying one week in Brela because my friends recommended it to me and then continuing my trip and holiday on the beautiful island Of Hvar. I need information from those who had been or live there how to reach the island from Brela?

Brela is a very nice little town, only 14km northwest from Makarska, between mountain of Biokovo and the island of Brac. You will really enjoy it as we all did. My family and me went there and were satisfied with what we had seen and visited in our 10 days of trip. To reach Hvar you can use a boat. During the summer and till the 28th of September ferry connections are intensified so you can easily reach the island. Also there are hydro boats beside ferries and they are faster. Jadrolinija is their main boat operator and all information on boat schedules and ticket prices can be found on www.jadrolinija.hr. The boats start from the port of Split and you can reach Split both by train or bus.
