Next week I’m traveling to South America and I want to see as much as possible of this country. I’ll start my journey from La Paz, the capital of Bolivia. After I spend some time there, I‘d like to go to Arica, a port in the northern part of Chile. Do you think that I can go from La Paz to Arica by train?

There is an interesting thing which I have read about La Paz. According to some reports, it is one of the safest cities not only in Bolivia but also in South Africa in general. This is a great thing to hear because as you know South America is generally speaking a continent with high crime rates. But in La Paz, there is no such thing as street crime. Anyway, maybe it is safe to travel by train but if you ask me it would be better just to catch a flight in La Paz and be in Arica in no time. I don’t actually know whether a train journey is comfortable enough and flying is certainly the most comfortable way of traveling.
