Singapore to Malaysia Night Train

I am going to be in Singapore next month and from there I will have to go to Malaysia, since I promised some friends to visit them.
I have heard something about traveling by night train, and since traveling over the night would be the most suitable for me, I am wondering if it is possible to get to Malaysia that way. Is there anyone who knows that?
