Spending Christmas in Buenos Aires

Hello, folks. I am going to Buenos Aires. I am planning on spending Christmas there. I have never been in BA, let alone for that period of the year. What can I do then? What are your experiences? I would appreciate all your suggestions. They will mean a lot to me. Thanks in advance.

Hi, there. I suggest you to arrive to BA few days before Christmas. Of course, you should book a hotel room up front. On Christmas Eve many shops and restaurants dont work. Even if some restaurants work, they are expensive. I suggest you to spend it in a restaurant of your hotel. The public transport works, but it might be difficult to find a cab. Some stores are beginning to open in the afternoon of December, 25th. Generally, streets are emptier around Christmas and that lasts till after New Year. I hope you will spend some nice time there.
