Hi. My son came home after his school today and he said that he wanted to learn to snowboard. I know that it can get really dangerous, so I said I will think about it. That’s why I am here now, to ask you this. Teenagers and snowboarding… Yes or no? All of your opinions mean a lot to me.

Well if you don’t allow him to try it he will just go behind your back and do it anyway. I think the safest way for you to know he is safe is to learn how to snowboard too. It’s not that hard, but it might get a little hard but don’t give up. You will get it in the end I am sure of that.

I say that is one of the toughest sports ever and that you shouldn’t let your kid to try it because if he is not at least 18 years old he could really hurt himself. If he is really determined just insist going with him. Maybe he will decide not to learn how to snowboard because you are going with him.

Ah don’t underestimate the power of embarrassing kids. Kids really don’t like their parents to be a part of their world. Well both ideas are nice, so whatever you choose I think you will now be disappointed. Maybe you will disappoint your son but he will live through it.
