The nearest international airport to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania?

a couple of friends of mine and I have been planning to stay in Tanzania next year and we would like to visit Serengeti National Park. We were wondering, for our itinerary, what is the nearest international airport to Serengeti. Can anyone help us on this? Some advice? Thanks a lot in advance!

my boyfriend and I have the same problem. We would like to go to Serengeti and we would like to arrive on the nearest airport since we heard that the roads are really bad and that it is better not to drive along them. So we would also appreciate any help on this. Thanks!

I have just got back from Tanzania. This place is somehow magical, but at the same time it is really sad and depressive. It shouldn't be like that. It is good just to visit Serengeti and escape undisturbed with daily life here. Kilimanjaro International Airport is the nearest to the park. Have a great stay, Serengeti is really something to remember.
