Things to see in Frankfurt?

I suppose to meet with one of my friends in Frankfurt, it was kind of in between our home towns. None of us has ever been there so thats how we agreed to pick this one. It is more practical reason why this city became the chosen one then it was the place that we dream to see. I am not saying that it isnt worth a visit just explaining for only God knows what reason why it is the subject of this post of mine. You are free to notify me what we should see there, because I honestly have no idea what to visit in Frankfurt.

First I am not sure which Frankfurt you are planning to visit, the one on Main River or the one on the border with Poland? I guess the one on Main and actually I think you will be pleasantly surprised with Frankfurt. Even it is now being one of the financial and stock centers of Europe compared with New York, Frankfurt has a long history. It is a town made of mix of tall skyscrapers and old buildings like Saint Pauls Church, Saint Bartholomews Cathedral, Alte Oper, Rmer, etc. If you want to taste the Frankfurt in the right way take a walk to the Sachsenhausen, placed on the south bank of the Main where you try and enjoy in local food and beer and music. Even you are maybe not in the mood to view museums and other cultural buildings I think missing the Goethe Haus would be quite a shame. I hope I gave you some good ideas what to see in Frankfurt.

Römerberg is the heart of Old Town Frankfurt. It is in this uneven slightly sloping five-sided square.

Many shopping areas, bakeries, and waterfront areas to sit and take a cup of local coffee. Swan pools.
