Thinking about renting a car to travel on the Denali Hwy?

I would like to go to Denali Hwy. I heard so much great things about it and I still havent been there, although I visited Alaska so many times. Now, I know there are several ways of getting there, but I though my wife and I could rent a car. I am not sure I should do that, though, so if anyone had some experience with it, any advice would be useful to me.

I wish you a good time on Denali. It is really a perfect spot to experience Alaska at its best. Many of those who go there frequently choose to rent a car. You will be glad to know that renting a car will offer a good degree of flexibility. It can also save you a considerable amount of money. If you are going in summer, you will easily arrive by highway. And, if you are starting from Anchorage, the trip to Denali National Park will last some 5 hours. If you're planning on sticking to the Interior and Southcentral Alaska, rental car could be your best option.

It’s easy. Their roads are in good condition and easy to navigate. Simple, two-lane highways connect Anchorage, Fairbanks, Denali, towns in between, and points further east and north
