Tips to drivers in India

I plan to go to India and rent a car there, since I will stay a week at least, and some kind of every day transportation will be more than necessary to me.
Since I have been in India a few times already, I cannot say that I don’t know the country, but still, I would like to hear a few tips for drivers there before I actually go.

From my point of view, any other way of transportation there would be a better choice, but if you are confident enough in yourself and your ability to manage in the foreign country, than it’s good for you. I can just wish you a good luck, because what you plan to do is something I would never dare to do in India.
