To Buenos Aires with a Ferry

Since I plan to go to Uruguay next month, and spend there a week at least, it crossed my mind that it might even be possible to get to Buenos Aires with a ferry from there. That way, I could see that city too, and spend at least a day or two in it. I like that idea more and more every day, but I am just not sure is it possible. Can anyone inform me about this?

It is very possible; in fact, people go to Uruguay from Buenos Aires and vice versa with ferry all the time. It doesn’t take more than an hour to get there, so I also think it would be such a shame not to use this opportunity and see Buenos Aires as well.
