Transportation possibilites in and out of Chile?

I am interested in transportation possibilities in and out of Chile-the thing is that I am supposed to land at Santiago airport within 3 days and the day after I will have a boat ride from Valparaiso to Tocopilla. Anyway I will stay in Tocopilla 2 days and after that I am supposed to hit the Iquique and I don't know with what transportation and I also need to pass a Bolivian border for I need to reach Uyuni by Monday so I would like to hear what are transportation possibilities in and out of Chile?

I don't know what your plans are –are you planning on returning in Chile after visiting Uyuni or you are staying in Bolivia? Anyway if you are to return in Chile you may try hiring a car there in Iquique-I hope there is a rent-a-car agency. And if it is like you are staying in Bolivia than I am afraid you will have to travel with bus all the way to Uyuni for I don’t think there is a train.
