Traveling to Venice in December?

Dear forum friends! My husband and I have been thinking about visiting the city of Love... Venice of course! Sadly we both have a busy schedule and we don't get to spend all that much time together by ourselves... just the two of us. Our only chance to see Venice will be December. Is this an OK time to go there? Thanks.

Don't even think about it!!! Do you know how cold it is over there around that time? It rains practically every day, and this makes it very tricky to get yourselves around town. Sometimes you can't even get past the bridged due to the water level being so excessive! If you want to go to Venice, better to wait longer until the spring or summer, then to go at a time when you won't be able to enjoy it!!!
