Vancouver taxi?

Hello, there. I will arrive tomorrow evening at the Vancouver airport. It will be my first time in this city. I will have to take a taxi, since I dont have my own vehicle. I was wondering if you could tell me something more about Vancouver taxis. What should I expect?

Hello, there. Well, Vancouver has four Taxi companies. They are: Yellow cabs, Vancouver Taxi, MacLures Cab and Black Top Cabs. Generally, the trip from the airport to downtown will cost you about $27. Usual rides cost between $5 and $10. They accept credit cards, although taxi drivers dont like it. If you are in downtown, reach a hotel to catch a cab. It is better to phone taxi than to pick it up in the street. I would suggest you to take a walk in Vancouver. It is very interesting place to see on foot. Some taxis are not licensed for drive inside the city and therefore wont stop if you call them on the street. I hope Ive helped you a little. Good luck!
