What are check in times for LAX?

I suppose to take a flight from the LAX soon and I am aware of the fact that it's the busiest airport of alls. I am a bit worried because this is my first flight, can you imagine that?! I am not sure if there are certain rules and regulations for check-in, and I want to be there on time so everything could pass smoothly. I need info about check-in time, thanks in advance!

When is the right time to get yourself on the LAX to check in depends on many things: which flight you are taking, what time of a year is, workdays or weekends meaning how crowded airport is in certain terms. Info, according to some complains that LAX stuff is being slow and unprofessional very often, not a clockwise crew, are extra factors you have to consider before you make a final decision. For normal airports 1-2 hours before the flight is fine, but in this case I honestly dont know what to say.
