What are the best snorkeling spots in Belize?

I will be going next Christmas to Belize. I always loved scuba diving and snorkeling. This year, I would like to try the second thing especially, so I would like to know which are the best spots for snorkeling I could go to there. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

In my experience, there are several good places. First, there is the Hol Chan Marine Reserve, and the second excellent place is Shark Ray Alley. These are also the most popular snorkeling site because San Pedro is very near, so there is large amount of fish life you could observe. The sheer the diversity of sea life you will encounter throughout each of the four areas of the park will certainly make your vacation unforgettable. Also, with all the fantastic people you will meet there, you might as well call that a perfect holiday.

(Northern Cayes and Atolls): These two very popular snorkeling sites are threatened with overcrowding but still live up to their billing.

Shark-Ray Alley guarantees a very close encounter with schools of large stingrays and nurse sharks. The experience provides a substantial adrenaline rush for all but the most nonchalant and veteran divers. Hol Chan Marine Reserve is an excellent snorkeling destination comprised of a narrow channel cutting through a rich and well-maintained shallow coral reef.
