What does The Space Tourism Society want to do?

I heard of SDS, The Space Tourism Society. I keep reading about it but am not sure what this space tourism all about is. I mean, going to space for fun is many years away and I don’t think that most of us will live to see it. What does The Space Tourism Society want to do?

They want to introduce and promote space tourism. It is a non-profit organization based in USA with branches in Japan, Norway, and the United Kingdom. They want “to conduct the research, build public desire, and acquire the financial and political power to make space tourism available to as many people as possible as soon as possible.” If these guys succeed we may look forward to commercial space trips soon.
