What happens if you are caught smuggling?

I have booked a cruising trip with Carnival Destiny this would be my first cruise with my school friends and we are setting off just upon the end of school we will first have a flight from Miami to San Juan which is the departure site of our 7 days Southern Caribbean cruise. And anyway I did some researches on the alcohol rules on board and I figured out we are not allowed to drink almost nothing while on board and the worse of all we are not allowed bringing liquors in and that is why we are planning to smuggle some drink. And that is why I need to hear what happens if you are caught smuggling?

Well smuggling alcohol on the cruise ship is not something I would suggest simply for the fact that workers on the check point are very well aware that people are very willing doing these smuggling which is actually related to the very strict rules on alcohol on board. Anyway if you get caught on smuggling it may happened they cancel your trip or-which is the better opt it may happen your booze got confiscated and returned to you at the last day of your cruise. So I was you I wouldnt risk.
