What is ground transport like in Juneau?

My friends and I are thinking to spend couple days in June in Juneau( funny isnt it). But we dont want just to go there to lay in hotel room, with all comfort around us. We are young and ready for adventure of a life time. To walk or drive all day, to sleep under the tents, to make our own food in a wild. So it is important to have some kind of ground transportation. What is ground transportation like in Juneau?

Wonderful idea. And above all, it is very practical. It maybe will not much be cheaper than staying in hotel, but it certainly will be more interesting, and fun. That will, for sure, be the camping that you will remember till the rest of your life. Nature is great and untouched, people are very nice and will help you when ever you need help. It is smart thing to be motorized. There are a lot of rent a car agencies that can offer you some good deals. But I dont think that is very smart to go and explore ground for the first time, without guide. So it will be smart, except cat to rent a guide I wish you nice trip there and great time.
