What is really last minute arrangement?

You always hear so much about these so called last minute trips. Apparently, everyone is doing them nowadays. But what is this all really about? Do you ever go on last minute trips? What it your opinion about this? What is really last minute arrangement? I am looking forward to hearing from you!

How about this for a REAL last trip? Once I booked a flight about 20 minutes before departure time - paid an enormously high price for my plane ticket - checked my baggage in at a very high speed range and ran to the gate, nearly missing the flight after all. It was enormously stressful and I am not hoping to experience something like that again.

If you are lucky, these last minute trips could be a bargain. The only problem with last minute deals is that they are non-refundable.
