What to expect on Canada birthday street festival in Banff?

Hello! I will be in Banff in June and the first half of July next year. I heard that at this time Canada birthday street festival is held and I would really like to visit it. I like street festivals, but I don’t know what to expect on this particular festival. Is it worth visiting? Are there any fireworks? Thank you!

Canada Day Street Festival in Banff is really a spectacle. It is organized annually and thus is preceded with a lot of preparations. Many people from all over Canada come to Banff to celebrate this very day. Of course, there are fantastic fireworks but also many other attractions. There is a lot of music all day and all night as well as many other forms of entertainment. A special parade can be seen, too. I remember I saw some art exhibitions, too. Maybe you should book your hotel in advance because Canada Day Street Festival make many people come there and you might experience some problems with finding a room.
