Where to go with kids in New Amsterdam, Guyana?

In December my husband is going to take me and the kids to Brazil. We will stay two weeks there. On our way back we will spend few days in Guyana. We were suggested to visit New Amsterdam and Georgetown. Is there any zoo in New Amsterdam, Guyana? My kids like animals.

No, I don’t think so. I mean, I didn’t see any. New Amsterdam is a nice place but you won’t find a plethora of usual tourist attractions. However, the nature is very nice there and your family will enjoy your stay there. I went there with my kids and stayed for one week. They seemed to be quite happy.

I went there twice but also failed to see any zoo. However, there are many other interesting places you can see in Guyana. My advice is to see Kaieteur Falls. They are really amazing. Did you know that they are 5 times the height of Niagara Falls?! If you want to see the real beauty of Guyana, go to see Kaieteur Falls.

Guyana is really beautiful, isn’t it? I knew that those South American countries are beautiful but didn’t expect to find so many nice things in a small country like Guyana. The Kanaku Mountains are amazing and you will enjoy going there. Although not so big as Kaieteur, Orinduik and Marshall Falls are also definitely worth seeing.
