Where to stay in Queenstown?

I have never been to New Zealand, and since I got some extra money at the job, I have decided to go somewhere far and New Zealand is the perfect spot. Of course, I did not want to go to Australia, I wanted something else, and so I have chosen Queenstown. So, where should I stay in Queenstown?

Copthorne Lakefront resort – that should be an ideal place for you, it is not one of the most expensive, so you will have a lot of money left for wandering around the city and its surroundings. And it is also very close to Lake Wakatipu. The prices go from 140 dollars for a room and four stars will provide you with a quality service.

hey, lots of advice to offer but much might depend on what sort of accommodation you prefer.

I personally prefer to be right in a town centre so I can walk out the door and enjoy what is on offer and Queenstown certainly lends itself to that. It is a small compact town with stacks of cool bars & restaurants. But a car is actually a hassle in Queenstown as the traffic is mad considering the towns size, there is limited parking at many places and some hotels charge to park.

If you enjoy going out to bars/restaurants and like a little retail therapy then you need to be right in town. If these things don't bother you so much then a property located out of town a bit won't be such a big deal.
