Which Santa Monica hotel to choose?

I think that Santa Monica would be the right place for me and my girlfriend. We are together for three years now and I really want our stay there to be perfect and for the first time, I can say that money is not the problem (thank God for a promotion). Anyway, I am in dilemma now, which Santa Monica hotel to choose? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Perhaps you could try with Casa del Mar. We went there last year and I will dare to say it was the best service and experience we had in last couple of years. It was renovated in 1999. It is very near to Santa Monica Pier, Promenade on the Third Street and Palisades Park, which is amazing. As for hotel service I can really say that it was excellent, maid service twice a day speaks enough of their care for the guests!
