Zona Sul Rio transport options?

I am interested in Zona Sul Rio transport options for I have arranged my stay there in Rio at the south end of Copacabana but it is not like I would be spending my whole time on the beach for I would like going to the Centro or maybe I would need to reach the metro and again I would also be visiting Sugarloaf for picnics there with my friends. And I guess al this would get more complicated without having the car so I am curious to hear something on Zona Sul Rio transport options.

You don’t have to worry that much for Zona Sul Rio is very well connected with other parts of the city for the buses are great and frequent and usually would stop for you and besides this on all of the buses the goal destination is marked so it is not like you could mistake by choosing the right one. Anyway if you want to reach Sugarloaf from Zona Sul Rio take one of the buses numbered 500, 511 or 512 for example and also there you have a direct bus line from Zona Sul Rio to Suqueira Campos which is the spot where metro starts actually so from this point you may easily reach Centro.
