Hello from an adrenaline junkie! I like visiting strangest and most inaccessible places. This time Im in Cappadocia, an interesting place in turkey, where various archeological sites can be seen. Now, I want to travel to Syria from here, but I dont want to catch a plane. Is it possible to get there by land? Are there highways or certain semi-decent roads?

Hello A.J.! Calm down your adrenaline levels and save it for some other place. First, Id like to add that Cappadocia is magnificent and that I was mostly amazed at houses and churches carved into the rock. There are also superb fresco paintings in one of these churches dating back at the 11th century or so. Now, there is a city in Cappadocia, Kayseri which has plane and railroad connection with Ankara. My point is: Fly to Ankara, then catch another plane and voila! Youre in Syria. There you can continue your adrenaline pursuit without putting yourself in dangerous situations. I know that youre probably disappointed now, but its better to play it safe, right?
