car rental in NZ

Since I will have to go to New Zealand at the beginning of the next year, and stay there for 3 or 4 months because of my work, I realized I will have to rent an apartment. But there is something I am not so sure about, and it concerns the means of transportation while I be there. I am wondering is it cheaper to rent a car there or find a way to transport my own car.

Well, I am not sure how good idea is transportation of your own car all the way to another continent. You decide which is more affordable to you, but I know that here you can rent a car for some 30$ a day, and 150 $ a week. Having in mind you’ll stay here that long, you could probably get some sort of discount, but you should check it with the agency first.
