is it safe to travel to the middle east now?

Hello, there. I am planning a trip to middle east. I have never been there. I see that media report that it isnt quite safe to go there. What do you think? Do the media give us the right picture? I ask you to speak honestly, because I might risk my safety if I decided to go there. Thanks.

Hello, there. I think that you shouldnt believe everything you see on Western media, especially from USA. There are several countries and it isnt the same in which country you will be. I think the best situation is in Syria, Egypt and Jordan. Israel is ok in some of its parts. I wouldnt recommend to an American to visit Iraq, Algiers or Sudan. They are not among favorite people there now. Women dont like Kuwait and Saudi Arabia because of their rules about women being totally covered. I even hear that it also goes for foreign women, but Im not sure. I suggest you to consider well which countries you will visit. Good luck!
