looking for the cheapest accommodation in Iquique?

I have made up my mind to visit Chile this year and my destination should be the city of Iquique. I like what I have seen in photos especially beaches and that is the main reason why I want to go there. But since money is a bit of a problem I am wondering where I can find the cheapest accommodation there.

Hm, I’m always for traveling as far as possible and visiting new, distant countries but not if you have to sleep in slums and not have enough money even for a decent meal. Of course, it all depends on what you consider to be the cheapest accommodation. You can find budget accommodation in Iquique and the prices can range from 60 bucks per night, but I have heard that those hotels really don’t offer too much. Quite the opposite, they can be dirty, noisy and the service can be pretty lame. There is this hotel, Arturo Prat but people who stayed there didn’t have anything nice to say about the place, so I suggest you something more expensive.
